India and Vietnam Strengthen Strategic Partnership with New Action Plan

On Thursday, India and Vietnam moved towards strengthening their strategic partnership with the adoption of a new action plan. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during his remarks, underscored India's commitment to a rules-based Indo-Pacific, steering clear of expansionist policies.
The leaders of the two nations signed six MoUs and finalized three additional documents to expand cooperation across various sectors. Among the notable agreements was a $300 million credit line extended to Vietnam to bolster its maritime security.
Further agreements included the rolling out of digital payment connectivity between the central banks and joint measures to tackle terrorism and cyber security. The collaborative efforts aim to enrich the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, pointing towards a future with heightened bilateral trade, defense cooperation, and technological advancement.
