Mumbai Man Attacks Wife, Attempts Self-Harm Amid Domestic Disputes

A 32-year-old Mumbai man, Sagar Belose, attacked his wife, Shital Sudhakar Chavan, with a razor blade and attempted self-harm following domestic disputes. The incident happened in Girgaon and resulted in serious injuries to the woman. Both were hospitalized and are out of danger. A police probe is ongoing.

A 32-year-old man from Mumbai allegedly attacked his wife with a razor blade on Monday and later attempted to cut his own wrist following domestic issues, police reported.

The incident occurred around 10 am on Khadilkar Road in the Girgaon area of South Mumbai, leaving the woman with serious injuries.

According to police officials, Sagar Belose, 32, and his wife Shital Sudhakar Chavan, 30, had ongoing disputes due to which Chavan had moved in with her parents a month ago.

Belose had tried to contact her multiple times without success, leading to the alleged attack as Chavan was on her way to work. She suffered severe injuries to her neck and face.

After attacking her, Belose harmed himself by slitting his wrist with the same blade. While the woman was rushed to a private hospital, Belose was taken to a government medical facility. Both are reported to be out of danger.

Police have registered a case against Belose at the V P Road police station and a thorough investigation is underway.
