Hindu Right Wing Assaults Locals at Railway Station, Mistaken for Bangladeshi Infiltrators

In a shocking incident, members of a Hindu right-wing outfit assaulted a group of locals near a railway station in Ghaziabad, claiming they were Bangladeshi infiltrators, according to police reports.
The police have lodged an FIR against the leader of the outfit, Bhupendra Chowdhary, alias 'Pinky,' and 20 others for rioting, hurting religious sentiments, and other offenses. Officials confirmed that those attacked were not Bangladeshi nationals but Indian citizens from Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh.
Ghaziabad Police Commissioner Ajay Kumar Mishra stated that the police might invoke the National Security Act (NSA) against the attackers. Investigations revealed that the altercation occurred around 7:30 pm on Friday, near Guldhar railway station.
