Odisha Police Uncovers International SIM Box Racket with Links to Bangladesh
Odisha Police have dismantled a SIM box racket operated by a Bangladeshi from Bhubaneswar, rerouting international calls to countries including Pakistan, China, and regions of West Asia. The operatives have been arrested, and over 1,000 SIM cards have been seized. The investigation may extend to national agencies and Interpol.

Odisha Police have claimed to have dismantled a sophisticated SIM box racket operated from Bhubaneswar by a Bangladeshi national, rerouting international calls to Pakistan, China, and West Asia, stated a senior officer.
The key operative, Raju Mandal from West Bengal, has been arrested, with authorities seizing over 1,000 pre-activated SIM cards and crucial equipment from a property in Odisha's capital.
'Mandal facilitated operations on behalf of a Bangladesh national, Asadur Jaman, ensuring UPS, internet, and other services were functioning,' revealed Sanjeeb Panda, Commissioner of Police of the Bhubaneswar-Cuttack Commissionerate, on Saturday.
