Adityanath Criticizes Samajwadi Party Over Alleged Criminal Support

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath accused the opposition Samajwadi Party of supporting criminals, including those involved in high-profile rape cases. Speaking in Ayodhya, he contrasted PM Modi’s efforts for women’s empowerment with the opposition's actions. Adityanath also highlighted development projects in Ayodhya and significant youth employment initiatives.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday alleged that the opposition Samajwadi Party sees it as their life’s goal to prove every rapist and criminal innocent, asserting that such actions won't be tolerated in the state.

Addressing an event in Ayodhya’s Kumarganj, Adityanath praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s initiatives for women’s empowerment through the ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ drive and the Nari Shakti Vandan Act, which ensures 33 per cent reservation for women in legislative bodies.

Adityanath accused Samajwadi Party leaders of supporting those involved in the gang rape of a doctor in Kolkata. He referenced the vandalism following the doctor’s alleged rape and murder, which sparked nationwide protests, criticizing former Samajwadi Party leader Mulayam Singh Yadav’s past controversial ‘boys will be boys’ remark.

In Ayodhya, Adityanath criticized local Samajwadi Party leaders, accusing them of protecting a bakery owner involved in raping a 12-year-old girl. Emphasizing BJP’s stand against such crimes, he reaffirmed that Uttar Pradesh will not tolerate criminal support.

The Chief Minister also highlighted the transformative development in Ayodhya, which he described as a model of progress, blaming the previous governments for the region’s neglect. He condemned smear campaigns against Ayodhya on social media, affirming the state’s commitment to truthful representation.

Reflecting on the employment fair and youth conference, Adityanath underscored the importance of empowering the youth. He mentioned ongoing police recruitment exams, celebrating the imminent recruitment of 60,000 youths as a historic initiative for Uttar Pradesh.
