Protests broke out in Badlapur, Maharashtra, on Tuesday over the alleged sexual abuse of two kindergarten girls by a school attendant. The incident led to the detention of the accused last week.

Angry parents and local citizens, mostly women, gathered outside the school and staged a 'rail roko' protest at Badlapur railway station, causing significant disruption to suburban train services from 8:30 AM onwards. They demanded immediate action against the school and severe punishment for the accused.

Vandalism ensued as protesters broke the school gate, windows, benches, and doors, and threw stones at the railway station. Police, including Commissioner of Government Railway Police Ravindra Shisve, are working to control the situation and disperse the crowd.
