A 50-year-old man, identified as Jayram, was found dead with gunshot wounds near Ighara village, local police reported on Saturday.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Santosh Kumar informed that Jayram, a native of Mainpuri district, was discovered with a gunshot wound by the roadside. The body has been sent for post-mortem, and an investigation is currently underway.
Jayram had been residing in Ighara village since 2019, following his acquittal in the 2013 murder case of his brother and sister-in-law.
