Two policemen and a corporator were apprehended on Monday amid allegations of bribery after they threatened a local businessman, according to officials.
The suspended policemen allegedly warned the victim, operating a candle manufacturing unit, of dire consequences, such as sealing his house for his alleged illegal business activities.
Following a complaint by the businessman, a formal investigation was initiated, resulting in the suspension of sub-inspectors Ashish Chaudhry and Anuj Nagar, with corporator Rajput Sahu also detained for questioning.
