Taiwan's investigation bureau, under the justice ministry, announced Monday that it found no ties between Taiwanese manufacturers and the pagers responsible for the deadly explosions in Lebanon this September. The incident involved the Iran-backed group Hezbollah.
According to the bureau's statement, the Taiwanese firm Gold Apollo has not produced the AR-924 pager model in recent years. The statement clarified that the device was produced by an external company known as Frontier Group Entity.
This revelation helps clear Taiwan of any involvement in the blasts, shifting attention to Frontier Group Entity's role in manufacturing the devices outside of Taiwan.
