The information office chief, whose name has not been disclosed, highlighted joint military drills and the U.S. military presence in South Korea as evidence of Washington and its allied forces threatening North Korea's security environment. The official reiterated North Korea's resolve to counter these perceived threats strategically.

In response, South Korea's defense ministry confirmed the completion of a joint air drill with the US that involved at least one B-1B strategic bomber. Pyongyang has historically condemned such exercises as war rehearsals, while Seoul portrays them as defensive measures.
