Spain Boosts Ukraine Support with €1 Billion Military Aid Package
Spain is set to provide Ukraine with a new military aid package worth 1 billion euros as part of a bilateral agreement, Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez announced in Kyiv. This move follows similar aid last year, with Sanchez affirming continued support. Concerns rise over potential Putin-Trump diplomacy affecting European security.
In a bid to bolster Ukraine's defense efforts, Spain has announced a substantial military aid package amounting to 1 billion euros. Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez made the declaration in Kyiv, aligning with a 10-year security agreement signed in May 2024.
Spain had previously allocated over 1 billion euros in military aid for Ukraine the previous year. At an international summit, Sanchez assured ongoing support for Ukraine and highlighted the importance of involving both Ukraine and the European Union in any peace negotiations with Moscow.
Amidst changing international dynamics, concerns loom over a potential agreement between President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin, which could marginalize Ukraine and its allies, potentially compromising European security.
