In Beed district, Maharashtra, a police investigation is underway after local BJP official Satish Bhosale received a threat purportedly from jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. The warning was issued from a suspicious social media account, raising concerns about its authenticity.
Bhosale, who also goes by the name 'Khokya,' was menaced in connection to allegations of deer poaching, as the message demanded his arrest. While the account's legitimacy remains unverified, authorities are in contact with the social media platform for clarification, no formal complaint has been lodged yet.
The forest department actively investigates Bhosale for possible poaching activities, following a series of searches in Shirur taluka. The state's forest minister, Ganesh Naik, announced a comprehensive probe into the poaching allegations, ensuring no impunity for those found guilty.
