The Samyukta Kisan Morcha (SKM) made its presence felt in Punjab on Monday, staging protests against the government's interruption of their intended assembly in Chandigarh. Demonstrators assembled at homes and offices of select AAP MLAs, showcasing the widespread frustration among the farming community.

Allegations of unjust detainment of farmer leaders surfaced, as protests centered on fulfilling agrarian demands. "Our protests are peaceful," asserted farmer leader Ravneet Brar, emphasizing the non-violent nature of their demonstration outside MLA Kulwant Singh's Mohali office.

The SKM seeks the state purchase of specific crops at MSP and demands legislative measures on issues ranging from debt relief collaboration with the Centre to combating land acquisition for infrastructure projects. Farmers also call for compensation for 2020 stir fatalities.
