The Delhi government has issued a directive requiring all senior officials, including additional chief secretaries and commissioners, to be present during Chief Minister Rekha Gupta's field visits. If an officer cannot attend due to other pressing engagements, a second-in-line must take their place, ensuring continuous leadership presence.
The directive, dated March 6, also mandates administrative secretaries and departmental heads to deploy relevant technical and field officers to assist during these visits. This approach aims to streamline coordination and efficiency during the Chief Minister's inspections.
Chief Minister Gupta, known for her proactive approach, has been actively conducting inspections and visiting local areas and hospitals. The new directive ensures her hands-on evaluation of Delhi's public spaces is supported effectively by government personnel.
