Khamenei Rejects Trump's Nuclear Deal Proposal as 'Deception'

Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei dismissed U.S. President Trump's proposal for nuclear negotiations as deceptive. Delivered through the UAE, the letter offered talks but was described by Khamenei as misleading. He emphasized that U.S. demands would only worsen sanctions on Iran, warning against military actions.

Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei on Wednesday firmly rejected any negotiations with the United States regarding a nuclear deal. U.S. President Donald Trump had sent a letter to Khamenei proposing talks, yet also hinted at military action if an agreement wasn't reached.

The letter, delivered by UAE's diplomatic adviser Anwar Gargash, was dismissed by Khamenei as a "deception." He expressed skepticism about U.S. intentions, criticizing Trump's administration for what he termed excessive demands, leading to increased sanctions pressure on Iran.

Despite past U.S. withdrawal from the 2015 nuclear agreement and heavy sanctions on Iran, Khamenei reiterated that Iran would not succumb to threats. While Israeli leaders have voiced military options against Iran’s nuclear facilities, Khamenei warned that any U.S. military missteps would face serious retaliation.
