The Allahabad High Court has declined to interfere with the ongoing legal proceedings in a high-profile suicide abetment case involving an IT executive, reinforcing the legitimacy of the FIR filed against his wife and in-laws.
This decision was handed down by a bench led by Justices Mahesh Chandra Tripathi and Prashant Kumar, dismissing the writ petition filed by Nipendra Kumar Sharma and others seeking to quash the FIR.
The FIR, lodged following the suicide of Manav Sharma, accused his wife Nikita Sharma and her family of abetment, presenting a prima facie case of cognizable offence, as backed by previous legal standards from the Supreme Court.
