Panchayat Secretary Arrested for SDM Office Assault

In a dramatic turn of events in Shimla's Dodra-Kwar sub-division, a panchayat secretary has been taken into police custody for allegedly attacking the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) during an official meeting.
The accused, identified as Narayan Singh of Jakha gram panchayat, faces charges including assault on a public servant and criminal intimidation, according to police reports.
Witnesses reported that Singh stormed the SDM's office, hurling abuse and issuing threats. Intervention from bystanders led to a wider scuffle, resulting in injuries to a government clerk and a head constable.
