Women leaders from the ruling BJP on Wednesday praised Operation Sindoor, a military action by India against terrorist hubs in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman emphasized that India will never tolerate terrorism.

Operation Sindoor, named after the vermilion married Hindu women wear, honors women who lost their husbands in the April 22 Pahalgam attack. Sitharaman hailed the operation as a strong response to terrorism, reflecting Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership in pursuing justice against terror perpetrators.

Union Minister Shobha Karandlaje highlighted the significance of women officers publicly addressing the operation, symbolizing India's women's power. Meanwhile, Women and Child Development Minister Annapurna Devi extended gratitude to the armed forces, and several other leaders, including Delhi's Chief Minister and BJP's Agnimitra Paul, saluted the military action as a bold assertion of India's sovereignty.
