As tensions mount along India's western frontier, the Kerala government has swiftly responded by launching control rooms to support Keralites residing near the precarious border. The directive, sanctioned by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, underscores a proactive approach toward safety and communication for citizens amidst ongoing regional unrest.
In a statement, the government assured citizens that there is currently no cause for alarm. However, it urged Keralites in borderline states to heed the instructions issued by authorities to ensure their safety during this sensitive period of heightened Indo-Pakistani conflict.
Battleslines drew closer on the night of May 8-9, with Pakistan orchestrating drone attacks, soon met with strong defense by the Indian Army. Meanwhile, Operation Sindoor saw India's forces retaliating after terrorists struck Pahalgam, claiming numerous lives. As the situation evolves, Kerala's newly established control rooms stand ready to assist.
