Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has issued a high alert for regions in Himachal Pradesh bordering Punjab's Pathankot, as a precautionary measure in the event of air raids. Special instructions have been given to the police to ensure blackout in areas like Nurpur and Indora during siren warnings.
The Chief Minister emphasized that while there is no need for public panic, vigilance and adherence to safety protocols are paramount. Offices, including that of the chief secretary and other administration departments, will remain operational to assist citizens effectively during emergencies.
Following recent military unrest, several bus routes in the state have been temporarily halted. This move follows defensive strikes by Indian Armed Forces against terrorist targets in Pakistan, highlighting the ongoing tensions and the commitment to protect national security at all costs.
