Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath celebrated a remarkable transformation of Azamgarh, previously stigmatized, into a development beacon under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership. Emphasizing the region's new identity, Adityanath cited the recently inaugurated Gorakhpur Link Expressway as a symbol of progress.
Adityanath criticized former administrations for neglecting development, claiming they fostered crime affiliations, specifically mentioning Mumbai's D Company. He vowed punitive measures against security threats, showcasing India's firm stance on counter-terrorism.
The 91.352-km-long Gorakhpur Link Expressway, costing Rs 7,283 crore, aims to boost industrial progress, tourism, and investment in eastern Uttar Pradesh, marking a new era of connectivity and growth opportunities for districts including Azamgarh.
