In the Luhansk region of northeastern Ukraine, an area claimed by Russia, the Russia-appointed regional governor announced complete control by Moscow's troops. Meanwhile, tensions escalated in the Donetsk region, with Ukrainian attacks reported in the primary city, allegedly resulting in casualties.
