The Himachal Pradesh Cabinet has endorsed essential measures for advancing the state's disaster management and rehabilitation infrastructure. Proposed by a dedicated sub-committee, these include conducting comprehensive structural safety audits and implementing mandatory earthquake-resistant construction.
Under the guidance of Revenue Minister Jagat Singh Negi, the initiative aims to strengthen disaster preparedness by integrating various emergency response entities with the State Disaster Management Authorities. A coordinated approach is deemed crucial for swift action during emergencies.
Further Cabinet decisions included details such as raising chemotherapy center facilities, translocating trees for zoological development, and establishing procurement prices for fruits under a Market Intervention Scheme, reflecting a comprehensive approach to enhancing state resilience and economic stability.
