Rozgar Mela: Catalyzing Employment Across India

The Rozgar Mela serves as a catalyst for filling vacant government posts, addressing unemployment. Led by Prime Minister Modi and supported by Union Minister Jitendra Singh, this initiative has organized 16 melas, distributing numerous appointment letters, enhancing service delivery, and boosting employment nationwide.

Union Minister of State for Personnel, Jitendra Singh, announced that the Rozgar Mela will continue as a vital catalyst in rapidly filling up vacant government positions. The initiative aims to address unemployment and enhance the efficiency of public service delivery.

Filling vacancies is an ongoing process that involves detailed tracking of recruitment figures, including state and category breakdowns. Data maintenance is the responsibility of respective government ministries, departments, and Central Public Sector Undertakings.

Launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on October 22, 2022, the Rozgar Mela has managed to distribute substantial numbers of appointment letters across 16 nationwide events, significantly contributing to employment growth. The 16th event occurred on July 17, 2025, with over 51,000 letters handed out.
