Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai held crucial discussions with Union Home Minister Amit Shah on the state's developmental agenda, particularly in countering the Maoist threat. Significant achievements in anti-Maoist operations were outlined during the meeting.
Since December 2023, major operations have led to the neutralization of 445 Maoists and the arrest of over 1,500 insurgents. The state has since pursued an 'Integrated Development and Security' policy, emphasizing infrastructure, education, and healthcare improvements in Maoist-affected areas.
Additionally, preparations for the Amrit Rajat Mahotsav 2025 were also discussed, targeting the showcasing of the state's cultural heritage and economic progress. Amit Shah praised Chhattisgarh's initiatives, pledging the Central government's ongoing support.
