A 53-year-old man, Rajeshkumar Kailashnath Dubey, met a tragic end when he jumped off a bridge into Kasheli creek in Thane district on Sunday.

According to Yasin Tadvi, the regional disaster management chief, the incident occurred shortly after 8am. Despite comprehensive search operations involving police and fire brigade personnel, slushy terrain and murky waters are posing significant challenges.

The Narpoli police have launched a further investigation into the matter as no suicide note was discovered at the scene.
