A landlord in Jammu has found himself in hot water for allegedly neglecting to provide the necessary details of his tenants for police verification, as required by local authorities.
According to reports received at Bishnah police station, the landlord, identified as Ajay Kumar, rented out his property in the Chak Muraar area without completing the mandatory police verification for his tenants.
This oversight has resulted in the registration of an FIR under Section 223 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). The police have appealed to the public to follow tenant verification guidelines closely to avoid similar legal consequences.
