At least 68 African migrants have tragically lost their lives when their boat capsized off the coast of Yemen, according to the UN's migration agency. Reports indicate that an additional 74 migrants remain missing after the incident.

Abdusattor Esoev, the head of the International Organisation for Migration in Yemen, informed The Associated Press about the devastating shipwreck. The ill-fated vessel was carrying 154 Ethiopian migrants when it capsized off the Abyan province.

Out of the grim situation, twelve migrants have survived the ordeal. Meanwhile, the bodies of 54 migrants were discovered washed ashore in the district of Khanfar, while fourteen were found at a separate site, later taken to a hospital morgue for identification and processing.
