Ragpickers Arrested for Forcing Daughters into Theft
Two ragpickers in Delhi were arrested for compelling their minor daughters to commit theft. The police recovered 19 stolen electric cable bundles and the incident led to an FIR at Palam Vihar police station. Both mothers reportedly worked as ragpickers and coerced their children into stealing.

In a startling revelation in Gurugram, two ragpickers have been apprehended for allegedly coercing their young daughters into theft. The local police, on Monday, announced the recovery of 19 bundles of stolen electric cables from the accused.
The case came to light after a complaint was lodged about missing electric cables from a construction site in Sector 22B. An FIR was promptly registered at Palam Vihar police station to address the issue. Investigations pointed to two minor girls as the culprits behind the theft.
The subsequent probe led to the arrest of Sakshi, aged 20, and Sapna, aged 25, hailing from a slum near Samalkha in Delhi. The police disclosed that the minors involved were the daughters of the arrested women, who used them under duress for committing the thefts.
