In a dramatic turn of events, Archana Tiwari, a lawyer and aspirant for civil judge, who disappeared during a train journey from Indore to Katni earlier this month, has been located. Tiwari vanished nearly two weeks ago, sparking a statewide search.
The 29-year-old was found in Lakhimpur Khiri, a town near the Nepal border. SP (Railways) Rahul Kumar Lodha confirmed her discovery, ending days of intense investigation by authorities who combed stations from Rani Kamalapati to Itarsi and scanned CCTV footage.
Although her family suspected human trafficking, police have yet to confirm any such connection pending further questioning upon her return to Bhopal. Tiwari's last known location had been Itarsi station before her phone was turned off.
