In a tragic incident on Tuesday, armed bandits stormed a mosque in northern Nigeria's Katsina state, resulting in the deaths of at least 27 worshippers and injuries to several others.
The attack occurred during morning prayers at approximately 04:00 GMT in the small community of Unguwan Mantau, located in the Malumfashi local government area.
Residents reported that the gunmen opened fire, causing panic and heightened concerns about growing violence in the region.
