The incident of an assault on Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has revealed a deeper conspiracy, say Delhi police officers. The accused, Sakariya Rajeshbhai Khimjibhai, known for his criminal past in Gujarat, was apprehended immediately following the attack.
The assailant was spotted two days prior near the CM's residence, captured by CCTV cameras during reconnaissance. This attack, labeled as an orchestrated attempt on the Chief Minister's life, has prompted police and the Special Cell of Delhi Police to dive deeper into the motives and affiliations of Sakariya.
The Ministry of Home Affairs may consider reviewing CM Gupta's security levels. Meanwhile, in his defense, Sakariya's mother insists he had no political ties, stating his presence in Delhi was for protesting a Supreme Court order on stray dogs.
