A Russian-made Shahed drone was unexpectedly discovered in a cornfield in eastern Poland, according to a statement by Poland's foreign ministry spokesperson Pawel Wronski to Reuters.

This incident has heightened concerns as Poland has maintained heightened alertness over airspace intrusions since a previous event in 2022. In that event, a misdirected Ukrainian missile tragically hit the southern Polish village of Przewodow, resulting in two fatalities.
