CPI(ML) Liberation general secretary Dipankar Bhattacharya has sharply criticized the Constitution (130th) Amendment Bill. He described it as a 'draconian and sinister' move designed to target political parties opposing the BJP, while maintaining control over its allies.
During a press conference, Bhattacharya also dismissed the Election Commission's claims of no objections to the draft electoral rolls, labeling it a 'scam.' He voiced full support for retired Justice V Sudarshan Reddy in the vice presidential election, contrasting him with NDA's nominee, 'RSS man' C P Radhakrishnan.
Bhattacharya argued the bill aims to destabilize non-BJP state governments and criticized investigative agencies being used as political tools. He noted the proposed power to dismiss ministers jailed for over 30 days is a facade, given the improbability of imprisoning the Prime Minister.
