Lazio and its majority shareholder have firmly dismissed rumors circulating online regarding a potential sale of the Italian Serie A soccer club to Qatari investors. The club made it clear that no offers or expressions of interest have been received from Qatari funds or any other parties.
In an official statement, Lazio asserted that the information spreading across social media is entirely false, without any foundation. The club claims the rumors were fabricated with the intent of destabilizing Lazio, unsettling its supporters, and impacting the club's stock performance on the Italian Stock Exchange.
As a result of these unfounded speculations, Lazio has taken the step of filing reports with judicial authorities and Italian financial regulators, Consob and Borsa Italiana, to pinpoint the origin and responsibility for the dissemination of these rumors.
