Tragic Altercation Over Firecrackers Turns Fatal in Chhattisgarh

A fatal altercation over firecrackers ended in the death of a 60-year-old man in Chhattisgarh's Durg district, police reported on Tuesday.
According to officials, two men, identified as Sanjay and Shubham, allegedly attacked the victim, Ganesh Bairagi, after a dispute outside his house in Bhilai town on Monday night.
The argument escalated when Bairagi's daughter-in-law objected to firecrackers being set off. The attackers reportedly chased her into the house, where they confronted Bairagi. An altercation ensued, leading to the brutal stabbing, after which the victim succumbed to his injuries at a local hospital. The suspects fled but were later apprehended.
