The state government of Tripura has announced that all official offices will function normally on October 23, despite a statewide bandh being called by the Tripura Civil Society. This protest aims to press the government on an eight-point agenda, including the immediate execution of the Tiprasa accord and addressing issues of illegal immigration.

A release from the Information and Cultural Affairs (ICA) department notes the bandh on Thursday, outlining the steps government bodies will maintain their operations as usual. Authorities have been instructed to report staff attendance on the day to the General Administration Department.

Meanwhile, TMP MLA Ranjit Debbarma, leading the movement, announced plans for peaceful protests with barricades at 25 locations. Law enforcement, as per State Police PRO Rajdeep Deb, is prepared to ensure peace, with all necessary measures ready for implementation on the day of the bandh.
