Gambling Bust Leads to 22 Arrests in Bhadohi

In a significant operation in Bhadohi district, police have arrested 22 individuals suspected of illegal gambling activities. The arrests were made during a Tuesday night patrol in the New Bazaar area, officials confirmed.
The incident unfolded as a youth, stationed at the entrance of a house, attempted to flee upon spotting Sub-Inspector Manish Dwivedi. This prompted the officers to conduct a swift raid, where they discovered the gambling activities in progress.
Krishna Kumar Yadav and Mahendra Yadav were identified as the alleged organizers, with police recovering several decks of cards and Rs 20,000 in cash from the scene. The suspects have been charged under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Gambling Act, and have been remanded in custody.
