Swift Rescue: Missing Boy Reunited with Family Within Hours

A swift police action led to the rescue of a four-year-old boy who was kidnapped from BSA Hospital in Delhi's Rohini. The police have arrested a woman in connection with the kidnapping, they announced on Wednesday.

The incident was reported early on October 20, with a PCR call received at 6.36 am by Shahzad, the child's father. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Rohini) Rajeev Ranjan explained that an investigation was launched immediately after a case was registered.

CCTV footage from the hospital and surrounding areas was scrutinized, revealing that around 2.50 am, a woman was seen with the child. At 3 am, she left the hospital with him. By tracing the auto-rickshaw she boarded, police apprehended the suspect in Libaspur and safely reunited the child with his family by 9 am. The suspect, Jyoti, claimed she was drawn to the boy and frequented the hospital for asthma treatments.
