Police in Mathura are currently investigating an alleged Rs 2 crore banking fraud involving the unauthorized operation of a corporate account in Agra, as disclosed by authorities on Wednesday.
The Delhi-based company impacted by this fraud has petitioned the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) for action against the concerned banks due to perceived inaction despite an FIR lodged over three months prior. The FIR was filed in Mathura given that key accused individuals reside there.
The investigation centers on a purportedly fraudulent account operation under the name Shree Kaila Devi Real Estate Limited, part of the Rajdarbar Group, documented at Aryavart Bank's Avas Vikas branch in Agra using forged materials. The probe is nearing conclusion, as stated by Circle Officer (Mathura City) Aashna Chaudhary, with a legal opinion sought from the joint director (prosecution).
