The Supreme Court has criticized the lack of compliance from states and Union territories concerning the stray dogs case, highlighting ongoing incidents that tarnish India's reputation abroad.
Excluding West Bengal, Telangana, and the Municipal Corporation of Delhi, other regions failed to submit compliance affidavits, prompting the court to summon Chief Secretaries on November 3.
This initiative follows an August 22 directive to ensure international regulations on stray dog control are uniformly applied across the nation, prioritizing public safety and animal welfare.
