Manipur Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla conducted a review of the boundary-fencing operations along the state's border with Myanmar on Tuesday, according to a statement from Raj Bhavan. Manipur's border with Myanmar stretches 398 kilometers, with approximately 10 kilometers of it currently fenced.
During a meeting at Raj Bhavan, Bhalla examined the progress of the construction work. Officials provided updates on the status of the project, touching upon key operational challenges and the overall performance.
Concerns related to security and communication were raised, along with suggestions for improving the project's pace. Bhalla assured that the state government would offer necessary support to overcome these hurdles, facilitating faster completion.
