Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal has asserted that the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls is a routine exercise by the Election Commission to maintain their integrity, responding to allegations from the opposition about its misuse.

Meghwal described the new labor codes as a significant step by the Narendra Modi government towards facilitating 'ease of doing business' and improving 'ease of living'. He countered accusations that the constitution is under threat by recalling past actions of the Congress.

The minister also spoke on India's Constitution and pivotal future discussions, including the 150th anniversary of the national song 'Vande Mataram' during the Winter Session. Meghwal emphasized the importance of awareness about fundamental duties for national progress.
