In the wake of Operation Sindoor, over 70 terror launchpads in Pakistan have been reportedly moved to 'depth areas', away from the immediate border, according to senior officers of the Border Security Force (BSF). These launchpads, now active in Sialkot and Zaffarwal, underscore a strategic shift after the cross-border clashes from May 7-10.

BSF Deputy Inspector General Vikram Kunwar highlighted this development during a press conference, mentioning that while these facilities are in place, the personnel within them are not stationary and are activated mainly for infiltration purposes. The BSF remains on high alert, ready to act if government directives call for the resumption of military actions.

The conflict in May, a retaliatory measure following the Pahalgam massacre, involved significant exchanges and had Pakistani Rangers retreating from their posts. Despite the current quiet at the border, BSF continues its vigilant monitoring, awaiting governmental directives for possible renewed engagement.
