The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has taken significant action by filing a chargesheet against Vishal Singh, also known as Suraj. Singh is accused of participating in efforts to rekindle the influence of the banned Communist Party of India (Maoist) in northern states.

According to the NIA, Vishal Singh was actively involved in training cadres in drone operation within the Chhakarbandha/Pachrukhiya forests. He also allegedly met with senior Maoist leaders, including Pramod Mishra and Sandeep Yadav, as part of a wider strategy to strengthen the organization.

This marks the second chargesheet filed in this case, following the previous charges against Ajay Singhal. The agency's findings underline a concerted attempt by the CPI (Maoist) to re-establish its presence in regions like Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Delhi.
