A village officer in Olavanna has been arrested on charges of corruption after allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 50,000, according to Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau (VACB) officials.
Identified as Ullasmon K R, the officer was reportedly caught red-handed at the NGO Quarters in Vellimadukunnu while receiving the money from a resident seeking to reclassify 1.62 acres of land.
The accused is set to appear in the Vigilance Court in Kozhikode, VACB officials stated, emphasizing their commitment to tackling corruption.
