Celebrating Excellence: Over 2,000 Nominations for PM's Public Administration Awards

The Prime Minister's Awards for Excellence in Public Administration, 2025, has garnered over 2,000 nominations. This initiative, aimed at acknowledging civil servants' contributions, will honor exemplary work across three categories. Winners will receive a trophy, a scroll, and Rs 20 lakh for implementing welfare projects.

The Centre announced Monday that more than 2,000 nominations have been received for the Prime Minister's Awards for Excellence in Public Administration. The awards, set for 2025, aim to honor exemplary work among civil servants nationwide.

A dedicated portal, launched on October 1, 2023, facilitated the nominations, remaining open until November 30, 2025. The scheme recognizes exceptional contributions in three categories: holistic district development, aspirational blocks program, and innovations for central ministries, states, and districts.

The awards, to be conferred on April 21, 2026, will include a trophy, scroll, and Rs 20 lakh for project implementation. An intricate evaluation process involving multiple committees will precede the Prime Minister's final approval.
