A case has been filed against two police personnel and four unknown individuals following a violent episode at the Sri Bankey Bihari temple in Vrindavan last month, authorities confirmed on Friday.
The FIR, directed by the court, specifically identifies constables Jagvendra and Ajeet, along with four unnamed suspects. According to the complaint, dated November 4, the accused, allegedly intoxicated, hurled obscene remarks at the complainant and attempted to drag her away, tearing her clothes and abusing her upon resistance.
In addition, the accused reportedly assaulted other devotees, using an iron rod to injure the complainant's brother, and threatened those who intervened. Valuable items were reportedly stolen, and false charges were lodged against the complainant's siblings. Despite approaching the Vrindavan police earlier, no action was taken until the latest filing. The injured brothers received medical treatment at the Military Hospital, as stated in the complaint.
