Delhi Police have swiftly apprehended a 25-year-old man accused of sexually assaulting a four-year-old girl in Bawana, outer-north Delhi. Described as acting under the influence of alcohol, the suspect, identified as Rizwan, was taken into custody shortly after the crime.
The incident unfolded when a Police Control Room (PCR) call was received around 5:30 pm on December 3, reporting the assault. Responding officers found the young victim in distress, prompting immediate medical intervention first at SRHC Hospital, followed by further treatment at BSA Hospital.
Investigators allege Rizwan lured the child into an empty room before committing the heinous act. Forensic and crime teams gathered evidence from the scene, and an FIR was filed under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and POCSO Act. Investigations, including forensic analysis and victim support services, are ongoing.
