A Beijing court has ordered Malaysian Airlines to compensate the families of eight passengers from the ill-fated MH370 flight. Each family will receive 2.9 million yuan ($410,000), including compensation for emotional distress, funeral costs, and the loss of loved ones.

The MH370 flight disappeared in 2014 en route from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing, carrying 239 passengers and crew. Despite years of exhaustive searches, the mystery of the plane's fate remains unsolved, and the passengers have been declared legally dead.

While the majority of the passengers were Chinese, their families continue to seek answers. With 23 cases still unresolved and 47 settled, the Malaysian government announced a renewed search for the missing plane will commence on December 30.
